What is the ƒome Collective?
"ƒome " is a word from the Ewe language of Ghana and means "family". At Fome Collective, we live this concept. We are more than just partners- we are a family united by a shared vision and a deep commitment to our communities. Our collective is made up of diverse members - teachers, activists, facilitators - who each bring unique skills and experiences to the table. Together we want to create spaces for learning and transformation.
Our mission is to foster a community where everyone feels seen, heard and valued. We explicitly invite LGBTQIA+ individuals, Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPoC), people of all ages and backgrounds to become part of the larger collective. We believe that our diversity is our strength, and that by coming together we can effect meaningful change.
The ƒome collective is a family that supports each other, learns from each other and grows together. We invite you to bring your unique perspective to our endeavors and become part of something meaningful.
Our vision
At ƒome collective, our vision is to build an inclusive community where people from all walks of life can connect, share knowledge and inspire change. Guided by the spirit of "ƒome " or "family", we strive to create a sense of belonging and mutual respect, recognizing that diversity is our greatest asset.
We envision a world where barriers are broken down so that individuals - regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age or social background - can contribute their voices and talents. Our collective supports initiatives that promote education, empower people and create opportunities, while advocating for social justice and equality.
Our goal is to serve as a catalyst for positive change and provide a platform where committed people can work together on projects that make a tangible difference. Through our combined efforts, we believe we can build a more just and compassionate world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and the bonds of family and community are strengthened.
