KITCHEN TEAM FOR OUR CAMPS

We are always looking for a suitable kitchen team for our camps. As a team you are completely responsible for the organization and implementation of the nutrition of 80 children and teenagers and ten adults (in the coolest camp in Switzerland ;)). Our camp kitchen is characterized by balanced and healthy food. In addition, the entire week is vegetarian (with the exception of the barbecue afternoon in the Badi). If you would like to apply on your own, we are also happy to receive individual applications.

You...

  • Are open, curious and interested in working with children and young people

  • Ideally, you are bilingual (DE and FR)

  • Invest/are happy to invest your time and are willing to work in a team

  • You are at least 18 years old

  • Be a well-coordinated team of 3-4 people

  • Know/know a lot about child-friendly vegetarian food

Healthcare assistant / childcare with a medical background

The Dance Camp Team needs reinforcement! We are therefore looking for a caregiver for the children and young people who need support from time to time (homesickness, colds, sleeping problems, accidents, etc.). As a caregiver, you are the first point of contact for the children and young people.

Requirements

  • Loving interaction with children and young people.

  • Patience and empathy.

  • A sense of responsibility and reliability.

  • Willingness to work together and support the team.

  • Experience in working with children and young people is an advantage.

  • First aid knowledge or even prospective healthcare assistants are desirable (a medical background would be great)

  • Bilingual if possible (FR and DE)

  • at least 21 years old

  • Wage: 140 francs per day (13 - 19.7,2024)

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Medical care: administration and monitoring of participants' medication intake. Knowledge of allergies and special health needs of the children.

  • Evening control: Control of who is allowed to leave the camp area in the evening and who is not.

  • Emotional support: care for homesick children and support for the integration of participants who feel excluded or have difficulties fitting into the group.

  • First aid: Care and treatment of sick or injured participants.

  • General attentiveness: Attentive and proactive behavior towards the needs of all participants. Openness and courtesy in dealing with the participants.

  • Orientation support: help for participants who have lost their way or cannot find their course. Maintain an overview and guide participants to the right courses.

  • Coordination in the kitchen: Supporting the kitchen team when needed and when no other tasks are pending.
