Congo is bleeding

YOU CANNOT LOVE THE CULTURE BUT NOT LOVE ITS PEOPLE

Loving a culture means standing with its people.

Appeal for donations for the Congo

As a collective deeply connected to dance and movement, we draw from cultural traditions that would not exist without the people of Congo and the African diaspora. House. Hip hop and of course Ndombolo. These dance forms carry stories of resistance, rhythm and resilience. They remind us that dance is not just movement - but an archive of experiences, struggles and collective power.

But while we dance, the Congo is being destroyed.
More than 6 million dead. Over 7 million displaced people.
Children toiling in mines so that we can use smartphones and electric cars. Sexual violence, hunger and exploitation - largely ignored by the global public.

Those who love culture must also stand in solidarity with its people. We cannot continue to celebrate what inspires us and at the same time look the other way when these very communities suffer.

That is why we are launching a solidarity appeal for donations - to give something back, create visibility and directly support grassroots work in Congo.
Every contribution counts - no matter how big, whether directly or through us.

Living the donations go

We forward 100% of the donations collected to the Fondation Panzi - an organization founded by Dr Denis Mukwege in eastern Congo.
Dr Mukwege was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 and has been campaigning for survivors of sexualized violence in war zones for decades.

The foundation offers:

  • Medical care for survivors of violence

  • Psychological support

  • Legal support

  • as well as training and reintegration programs that pave the way to a self-determined life.

We rely on Fondation Panzi because it is deeply rooted in the region, works holistically and is internationally recognized for its transparency and impact.

How you can donate

You have two options for supporting us:
