SUSTAINABLE & HEALTHY
What we eat not only affects our bodies, but also our environment and the climate. Eating a resource-conserving diet helps to reduce the negative impact of food production on the environment and protects biological ecosystems and biodiversity.

SUSTAINABILITY
No one is too small to make a difference and inspire others. At THE DANCE CAMP , we try to lead by example and set an example with our sustainable youth camps. We want a sustainable lifestyle to become a matter of course for children and young people.
We try to use mainly regional and local products. This means that the food is often automatically seasonal.
We also try to minimize waste and, if possible, buy without packaging.
Meat, fish and dairy products in particular have an extremely poor carbon footprint. Our climate-friendly food choices are therefore geared towards plant-based products and products of organic origin.
HEALTH
People who eat a balanced diet are more productive and have more energy. Exercise increases individual well-being and promotes a sense of community. The aim is to keep the energy balance in equilibrium during the camp, i.e. to take in as much energy as is used up during training.
Fresh or home-made products use less energy than highly processed foods and usually contain less fat, sugar and additives.
Wherever possible, we try to use organic, seasonal and regional fruit and vegetables.
At least 5 portions of salad, vegetables and/or fruit per day
If possible, 1 portion of complex carbohydrates (wholegrain products, potatoes, pulses, etc.) per main meal
Balanced, varied & vitamin and protein-rich menu plan
