ABOUT THE CAMP

More than 100 dancers, 20 dedicated leaders, summer, music and dance!

Our seven-day overnight summer camp not only offers the opportunity to develop dance skills, but also to understand the history and culture behind the dance styles. Central values such as peace, love and unity play a major role here - values that are deeply rooted in hip-hop culture.

In our camp, we not only teach dance technique, but also respect for the pioneers of this culture who paved the way for us. It is important to us that the participants recognize the deeper roots of the various dance cultures and integrate the values of these cultures into their own dance creations.

The camp promotes multicultural integration: children and young people aged between 9 and 20 from different language regions come together to overcome language barriers and make friends through dance and music. The values of peace, love and unity take center stage. Our voluntary camp battle and the traditional final show on Friday evening show how dance unites people and how strong the community becomes through these universal principles.

Our multilingual leaders support the participants in expressing themselves freely and feeling comfortable in this respectful and connecting atmosphere.

LOCATION & ACCOMMODATION

OUR TEAM

The youth sports camp takes place at the sports center in Willisau.

ACCOMMODATION 1: The first 67 dancers spend the night in the modern Bed & Sport in Willisau.

PERFORMANCE

ACCOMMODATION 2: From participant:in 68 - 110 stay overnight in the accommodation Hallenbad.

The regular participation fee covers the costs of professional trainers, accommodation, meals and a varied program that will help you develop physically and artistically. Your contribution not only supports your own development, but also helps to make the event possible for all participants. Dance and access to such experiences should not depend on money, which is why we offer support tickets. These are for those who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend due to financial challenges. We firmly believe that our dance community is about supporting each other and growing together. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to take part in our dance camp, regardless of their family's financial means. The increased price enables us to guarantee access for all children and to provide targeted support for those with fewer resources.
We also want to give children and young people with a refugee background the chance to be part of our camp and make new friends.
It is also important to us to pay our trainers fairly, because dance and cultural education is a profession like any other that deserves appreciation and support.
With this price adjustment, we are also helping to support the arts and culture scene and ensure that the organization of the camp is sustainable and fair. We recognize that it is a privilege to have greater financial resources and we want to take the opportunity for people to use these funds to support those who do not have the same resources.
We also want toofferour participantshealthy, nutritious food that is grown regionally, seasonally and organically. We support local farmerswho are committed to our environment and our world.
All of these aspects require funding and we are determined to put our heart and soul into our camp to create an unforgettable experience for all.
